Here are a few pics of the nursery in progress. We still have to put up a few more elephant decals above the changing table, but it's been so incredibly humid here lately that we're still waiting on the walls to not be so sticky from the new paint.

I tried to keep it pretty neutral, b/c I'm not a huge fan of pink, but Adam really wanted some pink accents, so I obliged:). He thinks girls' rooms should be all pink!

File comment: This might be my favorite part of the room. Cute little boxer butts for her to look at every morning when she wakes up:).

Love it:) My favorite thing is the pic of the boxer babies above the crib. I am NOT a pink person either, BUT agree with Adam, all little girls should have some pink in their lives. May be why I do not like pink, I was pink deprieved as a child-ha ha! I know how excited you must be. Love the name Izzy too! Funny story, a very good friend of mine, a cancer survivor, just got a black lab puppy (10 wks old) The pups name is Izzy:) I also train with dogs named Kate and Megan, no Adam though. Keep us posted!

What a beautiful room for baby Izzy to come home to - with just the right touch of pink! How much longer do you have now, Kate?

My due date is July 31st. Feels like that is so far away, but I know it'll be here before i know it! :) Adam's family are all hoping I have her right around my due date or later, b/c my father-in-law will be out of town until mid-late July and doesn't want to miss it. I guess I'll try to accommodate him as best I can (Yeah right! :)haha).

I keep reading that first babies do usually come a little late but I don't think I'd be overly upset if she comes a few weeks early:)haha!

That first baby run late rule sure didn't apply to my Brice. He came 6 weeks early. He was due Christmas day but came on November 13th. He got to come home on Thanksgiving day! He was only 10 days old.
LOL Funny little story - When I went to visit him the morning of Thanksgiving I had NO CLUE the doc was planning on sending him home because I had orginally been told, while I was in labor with him, that he wouldn't get to come home until right around his due date.
So I go into the progessive care nursury that he had been moved into 2 days before and I'm taking him out of his isolette when the Doctor walks into the room and walks over to me and says "Happy Thanksgiving". I say Happy Thanksgiving back to him. And he says "How would you like to take a little turkey home today?" Dummy me responds, NO THANKS, we already have one in the oven. He laughed and said OK let me rephrase that. "How would you like to take BRICE home today? Of course I was thrilled and said YES!!!!!!! I had walked to the hosp as we only lived 2 blocks away. But I ran all the way home to let my husband know our baby was coming home. We hadn't even bought the car seat at that point and had to borrow the neighbors. So from then on, when we know a baby is due in the family, we get everything ready early.....JUST IN CASE.
A baby ALWAYS comes in their own time, doesn't matter if Mom and Dad are ready, the baby is the boss at this point. :yahoo

Oh and Kate, Izzy's nursury is beautiful. I love chocolate and pink together. Very feminine indeed.

Oh wow, Pam! I had no idea Brice was so early! That's such a great story :). I would prefer her not to come that early, just because the thought of having to leave her at the hospital without me is scary :). Of course, most babies do just fine that early thanks to all the technology available.

But I also really don't like the idea of going OVER-due. I've heard that passing your due date makes the pregnancy feel FOREVER long:).

My 1st one went one day overdue - and yes, that 1 day felt like weeks! Baby #2, on the other hand, came 9 days early. Funny thing is, they were both born on April 14th, 3 years apart. We have always figured that Justin didn't want to miss his big sister's bithday. :)
